DiD u KNow?
No piece of paper can be folded in half more than seven (7) times.
You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching television.
Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning.
Most dust particles in your house are made from DEAD SKIN!
The first owner of the Marlboro Company died of lung cancer. So did the first "Marlboro Man."
Walt Disney was afraid OF MICE!
It is possible to lead a cow upstairs... but, not downstairs.
A duck's quack doesn't echo, and no one knows why.
Dentists have recommended that a toothbrush be kept at least six (6) feet away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush.
Turtles can breathe through their butts.
No one is perfect. Practice makes perfect. So why practice in the first place?!
-------------------
Why doesn’t a vacuum cleaner have friends?
Because it sucks
Lady: "I am in the middle of the road, can you tell me how to get to the hospital?".
Policeman: "Just stay where you are and you will get there anyway."
Police: Are you not ashamed that you come to jail so often?
Robber: Why should I be sir? You also come here everyday!
Woman: Officer! There is bomb in my garden!
Officer: Don't worry, Ma'am. If no one claims it within three days, you can keep it.
A police officer was escorting a prisoner to jail when his hat blew off.
"Shall I run and get it for you?" asked the prisoner obligingly.
"Do you think I am a fool" said the officer.
"You stand here, I'll get it."

#1 You order chilli with everything
#2 You'll find somewhere to shop, even if you're in the middle of a desert
#3 You queue for hours (even days!) for a big sale
#4 You'd rather enrol in a slimming centre than work out to lose weight
#5 You say "lah" a lot ... and you're not even singing
#6 You have to be the first in the line at a buffet
#7 You know that "Want to buy a house together?" is boyfriend-speak for "Will you marry me?"
#8 You say something's "not bad" when it's actually quite good
#9 You let your man carry your handbag
FINALLYY....
#10 You "chope" a table at the hawker centre with a packet of tissue paper ( i know you do! dont bluff! haha.)
Familar Poem Intepretations

床前明月光,chuánɡ qián mínɡ yuè ɡuānɡ,
疑是地上霜。yí shì dì shànɡ shuānɡ。
举头望明月,jǔ tóu wànɡ mínɡ yuè,
低头思故乡。dī tóu sī ɡù xiānɡ 。
The full-blown version (in refined English)
The moon light is pouring down on my bedside
like white frost spreading on the ground
I look up the bright round moon in the sky
and lower my head thinking of my dear hometown
Singlish version #1
Bedfront Moon Bright Bright
Think is Floor White White
Lift Head see Moon Moon
Bow Head Miss Home Home....
Singlish version #2

English
You lovers of the English language might enjoy this.
There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is 'UP.'
It's easy to understand UP , meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP ? At a meeting, why does a topic come UP ? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report ?
We call UP our friends. And we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car. At other times the little word has real special meaning. People stir UP tr ouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses. To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special .
And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP . We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.
We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP ! To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP , look the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions. If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP , you may wind UP with a hundred or more. When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP.
When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP;
When it doesn't rain for awhile, things dry UP .
One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP , for now my time is UP , so....... Time to shut UP!
